Toyota 4Runner

What's New For the 2021 Toyota 4Runner?

Historically, the 4Runner has earned a reputation of being a unique SUV that offers it all. The 4Runner has always had impressive power and handling, which continues for 2021. The 4Runner also has class-leading off-road capabilities and a design to match. Bringing Toyota's signature creature comforts to occupants, the 4Runner also includes some of the brand's top safety features and technology. The 4Runner lineup now adds a new trim level, Trail Special Edition. This trim fits between the SR5 and the SR5 Premium. It is built for the trails and includes an accessory cooler mounted to the cargo area. The 4Runner gets a roof rack for transporting gear and outdoor accessories. Innovative color schemes add to the latest trim level's appeal.

Which Features Are Available for 2021?

The SR5 remains the 4Runner entry-level trim in 2021. The SR5 has a rear spoiler for looks and performance. Inside you'll find seating for five or seven. The SR5 provides all the technology you need with a seven-inch infotainment screen that has smartphone pairing, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more. A Yakima roof rack distinguishes the Trail Special Edition from its peers. It also has different wheels from the SR5, which are 17-inch alloy. Cold weather driving is more convenient with the SR5 Premium, which adds heated mirrors that include turn signal indicators.

The interior gets a splash of luxury with SofTex seats and a push-button start. The TRD Off-Road seats five and comes with on-demand four-wheel drive. The Off-Road Premium has folding exterior mirrors and captain's chairs. Following that trim is the Venture Special Edition with metallic alloy wheels and blacked-out accents, including a spoiler and door handles. The Limited and Nightshade Edition adds leather seats. The Nightshade Edition gets custom black accents, too. Lastly, the TRD Pro has its own cargo rack and matte wheels.
