Check out what's new for the 2020 Toyota 4Runner available at North Park Toyota of San Antonio. For starters, 2020 4Runners have Toyota's Safety Sense P (TSS-P) and a suite of driver-assistance features that are designed to keep you safe on the road. This includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous braking, automatic high-beams, and lane-departure warning.
In addition to these driver-assistance features, there's an infotainment system with a larger screen. The new screen is 8 inches, instead of the smaller 6.1 inches of prior years. Even more exciting, the infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Something else that's exciting about the 2020 Toyota 4Runner is the trip meter with a 4.2-inch screen that also displays data for fuel-economy and TSS-P functions. That's not all! Every 2020 4Runner has two USB ports in the back. Notably, the TRD and SR5 Premium versions have smart keyless entry and a push-button start. Additionally, a cat-back exhaust system is available on the TRD Pro trims. You can choose from multiple colors, including white, black, green, and gray.
The 2020 Toyota 4Runner offers a comfortable ride for passengers sitting in either the front or rear. There's also an optional third-row available that's great if you have a large family. When it comes to cargo, there's plenty of space, and there's also flexibility provided by the compartments in the front row. Loading and unloading is made easy with a pull-out cargo deck that accommodates a maximum of 440 pounds.
This capacity is great for tailgate seating. Equally important, you can carry a significant amount of luggage without the optional third row. There is a sufficient amount of cargo space, even with the third row. The touchscreen infotainment system, Entune, is intuitive and responds well to inputs. Conveniently, there are power points located throughout the cabin.
The SR5 of the 2020 Toyota 4Runner has rear-wheel drive at the entry-level. There is an option to have a four-wheel, rear-wheel or all-wheel drive for both the five-speed automatic transmission and 4.0-liter V-6 engine options. There are also options for the Limited models. The TRD off-road and SR5 4WD use part-time 4WD that has Active Traction Control (A-TRAC). There's full-time 4WD with Torsen and A-TRAC available for Limited models.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2020 Toyota 4Runner a good rating of four stars. Safety features include front and rear parking sensors. There is a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) that detects a pedestrian or vehicle.
This technology includes a camera that detects shapes and provides an audio-visual alert when a collision is possible. When there is no response, this system will provide automatic braking support to mitigate a collision. There's also Dynamic Radar Cruise Control that will help to ensure a preset distance is maintained between you and the vehicle in front of you.
