Toyota Gifts 2,000 New Jobs to San Antonio

The expansion adds roughly 2.5 million square feet of floor space to the Toyota Texas complex. It directly creates 2,000 new positions while giving automotive technicians advanced machinery to assemble the next generation of Toyota vehicles. Complete installation and setup will take about four years.

Governor Greg Abbott celebrated the milestone as well, stating: "Texas is where the world builds bigger, and Toyota shows it once more with a $3.6 billion expansion in San Antonio that doubles their factory footprint and creates 2,000 new jobs." Thanks to this expansion, popular vehicles including the Tacoma, Sequoia, and Tundra will all be assembled together in Texas.
