What's New For the 2021 Toyota Tundra?
For 2021, the Toyota Tundra hits the market with some notable updates. This year, two new trims are offered for the Toyota Tundra: the Trail Special Edition, a more off-road-oriented truck, and the Nightshade, which is another special edition trim that primarily has only aesthetic differences in the form of blacked-out interior and exterior color schemes. The 2021 Toyota Tundra features an exclusive V8 engine this year with impressive towing power. Some changes are trim-specific, too, such as adding a new paint color option for the TRD Pro called Lunar Rock.
Which Features Are Available for 2021?
There are six trim levels offered on the 2021 Toyota Tundra. The first trim is the SR. The SR has cloth upholstery and an integrated trailer brake control for safer and easier towing. It also has a seven-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A six-speaker audio system is standard. A variety of safety features are included in the SR, including automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and more.
The second trim is the SR5. A larger eight-inch infotainment display screen is added to this trim, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You'll get fog lights as a standard feature as well. Many additional features are offered through packages, including navigation, front bucket seats, and larger wheels.
The Limited includes 20-inch wheels, standard LED lights, and a silver-accent grille with chrome surrounds. Leather seats are added. The Nightshade Edition gets blacked-out 20-inch wheels, black leather seats, and a dark chrome grille. The Platinum gets heated mirrors, climate-controlled seats, and premium leather seats. The TRD Pro trims get Fox shocks, sporty suspensions, and a special logo.

Featuring Great Performance
All 2021 Toyota Tundra trims have the same engine, which is a V8 with a 5.7L capacity. The engine creates 380 HP and 400 LB-FT of torque on all Tundra trims. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is available, while rear-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain.
Toyota Tundra Safety Features
The Toyota Tundra is designed to keep you safe. The Tundra is configured with a trailer braking system at the base level, along with adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and lane departure warning. Blind-spot monitoring is available on some trims through a package.
